The Lewisville ISD Education Foundation (LEF) presented four LISD educators with the 2024 Cain Sczepanski Award of Excellence. Congratulations to Cassandra Craig, Anne Deyalsingh, Marlee Hill, and Ashley Mobley!

LEF awarded 9 campus grants totaling $38,250. These grants will empower learning and innovation across Lewisville ISD schools, providing resources like STEM materials and science labs, CPR and safety training equipment, breakout boxes for engaging history and math lessons, and journalism equipment for aspiring storytellers.

The Lewisville ISD Education Foundation (LEF) is proud to announce the awarding of 64 teacher grants totaling $96,700. These grants, ranging from $300 to $2,500, will fund innovative projects that provide new educational opportunities for K-12 students across the Lewisville Independent School District (LISD).

The Lewisville ISD Education Foundation (LEF) is thrilled to announce the appointment of Bill Lee as its new Executive Director. Lee, a distinguished leader with over three decades of experience in industry, education, and consulting, becomes the fourth Executive Director in LEF’s history since its inception in 1990. His diverse background positions him to bring fresh energy and vision to LEF's mission.

The LEF Programs & Outcomes Committee selected nominee Diana Gafford as the 2024 Ted Barnes LHS Award of Excellence recipient. Mrs. Gafford has served as an educator for the Lewisville ISD for the past 22 years and has used her strength of building meaningful relationships with students to encourage success, both academic and personal.

LISD hosted its annual Awards Banquet on Friday, April 26, 2024. Winners from every department were given a cash award provided by community sponsors including 4 LEF-held funds: Ruth Evelyn Buck Memorial Elementary Teacher of the Year Award of Excellence, Carl Franklin Buck Memorial Principal of the Year Award of Excellence, Patsy Jane Buck Elementary Principal of the Year Award of Excellence, and the Dr. Susan Menking Counselor of the Year Award of Excellence. On April 16, 2024, the Lewisville ISD Education Foundation awarded $313,625 in scholarships to graduating LISD seniors during it's 34th annual Scholarship Awards Ceremony. See the photos from this memorable event on Facebook!

The Lewisville ISD Education Foundation (LEF) awarded 65 teacher grants across the Lewisville Independent School District on Wednesday, Aug. 16. Teacher grants were awarded throughout all five LISD high school feeder patterns totaling $103,570. See all the pictures on our Facebook page.

The Lewisville ISD Education Foundation (LEF) presented four LISD educators with the 2023 Cain Sczepanski Award of Excellence and $2,000 cash prizes. Congratulations to Juliana Wootten, Shannon Coffman, Heather Butler, and Stephanie Bess!

The Lewisville ISD Education Foundation (LEF) names Bernette Lindamood as the 2023 recipient of the Ted Barnes Award of Excellence. Established in memory of Ted Barnes, a former teacher and coach for more than 25 years at Lewisville High School, the Ted Barnes LHS Award of Excellence is given to a LHS teacher demonstrating outstanding educational service and includes a $1,000 cash prize.

The Lewisville ISD Education Foundation awarded 420 awards for a total of $323,495 in scholarships to graduating LISD seniors. The majority of these scholarships were awarded at the foundation's 33rd annual Scholarship Awards Ceremony where endowers have a chance to meet the student there scholarship was awarded to and celebrate together.

LEF hosted its first ever Sip, Savor & Celebrate event on March 25th. Community members and donors were encouraged to interact with the Teacher Grants showcase which featured six previous LEF grant recipients and the materials that their grants provided for the classroom.

The combined efforts of The Rao Foundation, LISD, LEF, and other community partners were finally unveiled to the public at the district's 'Wonder Wagon' ribbon-cutting ceremony on March 6, 2023. This custom van is designed to bring a mobile STEM classroom experience to LISD elementary campuses.

Beloved Chicago restaurant chain Portillo's celebrated its first Texas grand opening in The Colony on Wednesday, January 18th. The restaurant presented two North Texas non-profits with a $5,000 check, one of which was the Lewisville ISD Education Foundation.

In collaboration with Lewisville ISD, the Lewisville ISD Education Foundation, The Colony Chamber of Commerce and The City of The Colony, 70 students from seven TCHS feeder pattern schools were chosen by campus officials to attend the student leadership event.

The Lewisville ISD Education Foundation (LEF) awarded 66 teacher grants to 45 schools across the Lewisville Independent School District on Wednesday, August 17. Totaling $100,000, these teacher grants were applied for in May, blind-reviewed, and selected by a volunteer committee over the summer.
