Employees across Lewisville ISD came together once again this fall to make a lasting financial impact for students and teachers in the district. Through the annual Employee Giving Campaign, run by the Lewisville Education Foundation (LEF), staff pledged their support and are slated to raise more than $114,000 in the 25-26 fiscal year to fund scholarships, teacher grants, and other programs benefitting LISD.
This years campaign ran in August and saw over 1,300 employees pledge to donate to over 135 different funds. The participation across the district consisted of all LISD campuses and more than 30 central admin departments. The total raised represents an increase from last year’s pledged amount, demonstrating the continued generosity of district staff.
As part of this year’s campaign, employees who donated $50 or more received a limited-edition campaign t-shirt, sponsored by DATCU and State Farm Agent Jennifer Webb. The shirts became a visible symbol of unity across campuses and a fun way to celebrate giving.
These donations directly fund senior scholarships for each high school, teacher and campus grants, and Employee Excellence awards at the end of the year. Employees also have the choice to dedicate their donation to any LEF fund which includes special district project funds such as the Wonder Wagon, Back to School Fair, HBCU College Fair, and INCubatoredu.
The campaign’s success wouldn’t be possible without the district-wide spirit of teamwork. Campus ambassadors helped rally colleagues, while leaders encouraged staff to participate at every level.
“I have the privilege of working alongside an incredible group of ambassadors who champion the Employee Giving Campaign on every school campus. Their leadership and passion are the driving force behind the foundation’s ability to support our students and educators,” says LEF Board Member and Campus Ambassador Coordinator, Allison Stamey. “When employees give through LEF, they are directly investing in the success of our Lewisville ISD community, and our ambassadors make that connection possible. I’m deeply grateful for their dedication and the impact they help create across our district.”
The Employee Giving Campaign is just one way LISD staff show their commitment to education and this year’s results prove that when everyone gives a little, it adds up to a lot.
