LEF supports district staff, both professional and paraprofessional, who wish to pursue a higher education, by awarding fellowships. The application will be open January 1, 2025 – March 7, 2025 until 11:59 p.m.
Fellowships Available in 2025 (subject to change):
Dr. Jerry Roy Fellowships:
(2) $500 – Awarded to a staff member pursuing a higher education.
(1) $1,000 – Awarded to a staff member working towards their administrative certificate.
Dr. Kevin Rogers Honorary Fellowship, $500 – Awarded to any LISD teacher or staff member pursuing a higher education or certification.
Minnie Mae & Mack R. Bogard Teacher Fellowship, $500 – Awarded to an outstanding teacher who is active in professional and community activities.
MSU Texas Excellence Fellowship, $1,000 – Awarded to any LISD staff member attending MSU Texas. Preference given to student enrolled in Undergraduate EC-6 programs or Masters.
Wayne Trammell Diagnostician Fellowship, $500 – Awarded to any LISD staff member seeking certification in the field of Educational Diagnostician or is in pursuit of a master’s degree in order to become a diagnostician.
All applicants will be notified in April, via email, whether or not they were awarded a fellowship. If awarded a fellowship, it will be presented on stage at the scholarship ceremony in April 2025, at 7 p.m. in the Stuver Auditorium of Lewisville High School located at 1098 West Main Street, Lewisville. PLEASE PLAN TO ATTEND.
