Lewisville ISD employees once again demonstrated their commitment to their students, colleagues, and campuses through the annual Employee Giving Campaign, coordinated by the Lewisville Education Foundation (LEF). For the 2026–27 fiscal year, 1,207 LISD employees pledged a total of $102,369.84 to support students and educators throughout the district.

Employees chose to direct their gifts across 157 different LEF funds, with participation spanning every LISD campus and more than 30 central administration departments. From scholarships and teacher grants to special district initiatives, these employee contributions provide resources that create opportunities for students and staff throughout the school year.

As part of this year's campaign, employees who pledged $50 or more received a limited-edition Employee Giving t-shirt, sponsored by DATCU and State Farm Agent Jennifer Webb. The shirts offer a fun way for employees to show their support for LEF and celebrate the collective impact of giving across the district. These shirts could be seen being worn all over the district by employees on LEF Day, September 10th

Employee Giving donations directly benefit LISD staff and students. Unrestricted gifts help fund teacher grants, senior scholarships, fellowships, and Employee Excellence awards. At the end of the school year, 50% of unrestricted employee donations is returned to the donor's campus for campus leaders to use at their discretion, providing an additional way for employees to strengthen their own school communities.

Employees can also designate their gifts to memorial funds and specialty projects supported through LEF. This year's campaign included pledges benefiting the Back to School Fair, HBCU College Fair, INCubatoredu at Lewisville High School, and the Wonder Wagon STEM Truck.

The campaign's impact is made possible in large part by LISD employees who encourage their colleagues to participate. Campus ambassadors serve as champions for Employee Giving, helping connect their coworkers to the tangible ways their contributions support students and educators.

This year, the Student Success Center/DAEP led the district in employee-giving participation percentage, followed by Degan Elementary and Hedrick Middle School.

"At the Student Success Center, we believe that moving mountains starts with people who are willing to come together and make a difference. I am incredibly proud of our staff for leading the district in employee-giving participation,” said Tracie Merry, DAEP Middle School Assistant Principal. “It reflects the heart of a team that not only believes in our students but is willing to invest in opportunities that help students and staff across LISD move mountains every day."

The Employee Giving Campaign reflects something special about the LISD community: employees aren't just educating and supporting students every day; they're also choosing to invest in the people and programs that make a difference across the district.
