On September 10, 2026, the Lewisville Education Foundation awarded $95,570 in Teacher Grants to support 58 innovative projects across Lewisville ISD classrooms and learning spaces.
From STEM and engineering to literacy, counseling, special education, career preparation and the arts, this year’s grants put students at the center of learning, giving teachers the resources to turn creative ideas into meaningful, hands-on experiences.
Teachers applied for grants in the spring, and proposals were selected through a multi-step blind review process conducted by a volunteer committee over the summer. The committee also consults with district curriculum leadership to ensure that requested materials meet safety and security regulations and align with curriculum standards.
These grants are made possible through the generosity of community donors and partners, as well as the Lewisville ISD employees who choose to invest in their schools through Employee Giving. Nearly one-third of this year’s Teacher Grant funding came directly from employee donations, with educators and staff regularly contributing from their own paychecks to support programs such as grants and scholarships.
Together, these community investments help bring teachers’ ideas to life and create new opportunities for students throughout Lewisville ISD.
Looking ahead, the Teacher Grant application timeline is changing for 2027. Applications will open in July and remain available through October, with award notifications expected in December. To learn more, visit the LEF Teacher Grant website.
