What are LEF Teacher Grants?
Lewisville ISD Education Foundation awards Teacher Grants for projects that enhance and augment educational opportunities for students and teachers in the Lewisville Independent School District. Grants should have creative teaching approaches and be innovative projects with the hope that the best will serve as pilot projects for broader implementation. In addition, they should reflect the Lewisville ISD Beliefs, Vision, and Mission.
Beliefs
- Students’ needs are the center of our learning community.
- Education is the shared responsibility of students, staff, and community.
- High quality staff are the heart of a culture of learning.
- A safe and nurturing environment is essential for a sense of well-being.
- Continuous improvement informs and inspires future growth.
- Students are more than a test score.
Vision
All students are confident, equipped with the knowledge and skills to thrive and adapt for their future.
Mission
Engaging and inspiring learners and leaders.
Funding, not otherwise available from district budgets for such projects, will be provided in the range of $100 to $2,500.
