Helping Lewisville ISD Seniors Take the Next Step
The Lewisville Education Foundation (LEF) awards scholarships to graduating Lewisville ISD seniors to support their educational journey after high school. Thanks to the generosity of our donors, scholarships are awarded based on a variety of donor established criteria, including academic achievement, leadership, community involvement, career goals, financial need, personal experiences, and other unique qualifications.
Please note: Scholarship eligibility requirements, deadlines, and award amounts are subject to change without notice.
2026–2027 Scholarship Application
Application Opens: December 1, 2026
Application Deadline: January 15, 2027, at 4:30 p.m.
All required application materials must be submitted and received by LEF no later than 4:30 p.m. on January 15, 2027. Late or incomplete applications cannot be accepted.
Who Can Apply?
To be eligible for an LEF scholarship, students must:
- Be a graduating Lewisville ISD senior.
- Plan to attend an accredited college, university, community college, junior college, military academy or trade/technical school.
- Not have been selected to receive a full scholarship from another source.
- Complete online scholarship application, including special essays and references, if applicable for specific scholarships.
- Submit all required information by the application deadline.
How it Works
1. Complete the General Application
Every Lewisville ISD senior submits one general scholarship application. Your general application is automatically reviewed to determine your eligibility for ALL available LEF scholarships. Some scholarships may require additional materials, such as:
- Supplemental essays
- References - To ensure your reference has enough time; we encourage you to complete your application well before the deadline.
Transcripts - Official high school transcripts will be obtained from Lewisville ISD. By submitting your scholarship application, you authorize LEF to obtain your transcript for scholarship review.
2. Applications Are Reviewed
LEF scholarships are awarded through a blind review process. Personal identifying information is removed before applications are reviewed by volunteer scholarship readers and the Scholarship Selection Committee. Applications are evaluated based on donor established criteria to ensure a fair and unbiased selection process.
3. Scholarship Notifications
All applicants will be notified by email in April regarding their scholarship status.
4. Scholarship Ceremony
If awarded a scholarship, it will either be presented at a ceremony hosted by the endower OR at the LEF Scholarship Ceremony on April 20, 2027, at 6 p.m. or 8 p.m. in the Stuver Auditorium of Lewisville High School.
5. Claiming Your Scholarship
Scholarship claim forms open June 1. Once your claim is submitted and approved, LEF will mail your scholarship payment directly to your college to be applied toward eligible educational expenses. Detailed instructions will be given to all scholarship recipients before the claim period opens.
Please note: Scholarships that are not claimed within one year of being awarded will be forfeited.

What if I submit my application after the deadline?
