Samantha Evans is a 2024 graduate of Marcus High School and currently a student at Texas A&M University. As the recipient of the Eiler and Adlaine Buck Scholarship, awarded to Marcus High School students who participate in Circle of Friends and rank in the top 15% of their class - Samantha reflects on how receiving LEF support made her feel encouraged and confident as she began her college journey, while also giving her the meaningful opportunity to connect with her scholarship donors and see firsthand the impact of her future career path in special education.
"Receiving a LEF scholarship made me feel so supported and proud of what I had accomplished. It was a really special moment to get to connect with the endower's of my scholarships, and hear their stories. I got to hear how impactful my future career of special education has benefited their families. It made me feel so supported and confident about my future career choices as I was going away to college."
