Kiyaan Aly is a 2024 graduate of Hebron High School and currently a student at The University of Texas at Austin, where he is pursuing chemical engineering. As the recipient of the Commercial Structures and Interiors (CSI) Scholarship, awarded to students planning to pursue careers in architecture or engineering who also demonstrate community involvement - Kiyaan reflects on how this support from and his donor has helped him stay focused on his studies while serving as a meaningful reminder of the community that continues to believe in his success.
"As a chemical engineering major, life is not easy in college. I was able to focus on my studies due to the graciousness of LEF and my scholarship donor. I would not be able to succeed as I am today without their collective efforts and support.
It is also an uplifting reminder of the hopes my community has for me, one I was raised and cherished in, and one I will not forget as I take the next steps in my academic and professional pursuits. From the teachers to the donors to the district, I am eternally grateful for every second you devoted to me. Thank you."
