A 2024 Marcus High School graduate and current student at North Central Texas College and University of Texas at Arlington, Mariangel shares how this scholarship helped support her dream of pursuing higher education as a first-generation college student and immigrant. The John Paul Nix Memorial Scholarship is awarded to a Marcus student who demonstrates campus involvement and in financial need, the scholarship honors students who embody perseverance, leadership, and determination.
