At Mill Street Elementary, art is on the move thanks to a grant awarded to Visual Arts Teacher Janean Loyd. With a rolling bulletin board, students can now create
and display murals, sculptures, and interactive art anywhere in the school, or even outside.
The grant also provided supplies like markers, construction paper, yarn, and people cutouts, allowing students to bring their creative visions to life. At a recent Family Fun Night, the mobile art station became a gathering place for students, staff, and families.
“We love the rolling bulletin board! It was interesting to see the dads really get into the maps and helping the kids,” Loyd shared. “Thank you so much, we are excited to use it all the time.”
This grant fosters collaboration and creative expression, giving students a unique way to bring art to life in new and exciting ways.
