Bill Henderson Memorial Scholarship
It is with a heavy heart we share that our fabulous LISD teacher and friend, Bill Henderson, passed away in Denton County on Thursday, July 11, 2024 He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and LISD community.
William Harvey Henderson was born on July 7, 1980 in Hopkins County to Rickey Eugene and Carol Henderson Hermes. Bill was a teacher for 10 years in Lewisville ISD. He made a difference in the lives of so many students, families, teachers, and staff at Castle Hills Elementary and Indian Creek Elementary. He also served 6 years in the U. S. Army with two tours in Iraq and one tour in Korea.
To know Mr. Henderson is to know you had a loyal, hilarious, one-of-a-kind friend who added so much excitement everywhere he went. He loved playing music as students entered Indian Creek Elementary while surrounded by staff members who were always up to something good. His endless energy helped all people he encountered, start their day off right. Although our students, families, and staff will miss him, Mr. Henderson will forever remain in our hearts and will put a huge smile on our faces every time we think of him.
This memorial scholarship will be awarded to a graduating senior at Hebron High School. The students will have attended either Castle Hills Elementary or Indian Creek Elementary.
